my story

My passion for fitness started when I weighed 130lbs at 17. The motivation stemmed from not wanting to feel weak and a desire to build confidence. I read books, took anatomy classes, and hit the gym hard for over a year. Once I turned 18, I caught the bug for Powerlifting and competed in my first informal powerlifting competition at a Retro Fitness. By 21, I was competing at a state level, and at 23 I was competing at a national level.

Passion alone isn’t enough to be a good coach. Which is why when Dan Bulay asked me if I’d like to take an interest in personal training / fitness coaching I kindly declined. It’s not that I didn’t want to help people, it’s that I didn’t feel equipped with the education and confidence to help transform lives.

“Don’t worry, I’ll teach you how.” That was all I needed to hear and there it began. Surrounding myself around experts like Dan Bulay USAW lvl 1| PN-1 SSR | BS. Ex. Physiology, Dr. Michael Soya DPT, Niel Puertollano USA lvl 1 | BS. Ex. Science, Scott Gunter ATC | CSCS | USAW | Pn1 | FMSC | RPR Pro, and Patrick Mazo B.S. Exercise Physiology inspired me to become a kick ass coach and pursue my National Academy of Sports Medicine and Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification. I started coaching clients in-person and remote on Strength Training, Weight Loss Transformations, and Athletic Sports Performance .

My passion to help others led me to surround myself with prestigious trainers in the industry. I decided to take a few steps back as an independent contractor and join Equinox as a Tier-3 trainer. That’s where I met Mitch Bernier (you can read his certifications in his link) and I asked him to join me on my venture to take Adaptations to another level. Together, we’re on a mission to help transform lives, get people stronger, and help them live happier, longer lives.
